Anna Maria Horner one-week fabric giveaway
Jul 18
Hi there! I’m back from vacation. Well-rested but wishing I were still on the beach with no housework to do!
As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I’m going to do some weekly fabric giveaways for the rest of the month of July. Here’s what’s up for grabs this week:
This is a lovely set of five fat quarters from Anna Maria Horner’s Innocent Crush collection for Free Spirit (no longer in production). From left to right, the blue sunburst is cotton velveteen, the black is quilting-weight cotton, the blue floral is cotton sateen (home-dec/bottom-weight), the purple floral is quilting-weight, and the grey/pink floral is cotton sateen. You can see swatches on my fabrics page here. These would be great for pillows or other small projects!
You can enter to win by doing either (or both) of the following:
- “Like” Craft & Sew Studio on Facebook
- “Like” and/or comment on one or more Facebook posts made by Craft & Sew Studio
Entries will be limited to eight per facebook profile (so if you have a business page you can use that to enter too if you want). You can enter any time between right now and 11:59pm Friday, July 22nd. I will contact the winner via Facebook message on Saturday and then post on the blog and Facebook. Good luck!
Just a little update on my vacation crafts. I did absolutely no knitting. I guess I was too excited about the Posy sampler to work on anything else. I was so busy eating, drinking, and going to the beach that I only managed to get up to the letter “I”, but it has been relaxing and wonderful working on it so far! Crewel embroidery is even more satisfying than regular cotton floss embroidery because the wool puffs up and fills the space with a nice texture. Alicia picked out the most gorgeous colors. This project is a marvelous way to build basic embroidery skills and perfect your technique through practice. And the really nice thing about embroidery as a vacation craft is that you can still chat and look around at the scenery a little bit while you’re stitching without messing up. Unfortunately I think she’s sold out of the kits for good, but you can still download the design for $6 and make it yourself. If you do, I highly recommend the Appleton crewel wool she put in the kits (the two-ply). I’ll update you again when I finish

love the fabric!
The black one is the same one you used for your skirt
